Other Supports

Participation and Access in Community, Social and Civic Activities

Assisting and supporting you to participate actively in community, social and civic activities by developing and enhancing your skills and providing the necessary supports during these activities, at a 1 on 1 level.

Household Tasks

We provide the supports to enable you to maintain your home environment. This may involve undertaking essential household tasks or the provision of support that you are not able to undertake yourself.

Includes:

  • House and/or Yard Maintenance
  • House cleaning and other household activities
  • Assistance with the cost of preparation and delivery of meals

Assistance with Daily Life Tasks in a Group or Shared Living Arrangement

This support incorporates assistance with and/or supervising tasks of daily life in a shared living environment, which is either temporary or ongoing, with a focus on developing your skills to live as autonomously as possible. 

This includes short-term accommodation and assistance (e.g. respite care).

Assistance to Access and Maintain Employment or Higher Education

Assistance to enable you to obtain and/or retain employment in the open labour market or to work in specialised and supported work environments.

Assistance in Coordinating or Managing Life Stages, Transitions and Supports

This includes short and long term supports that focus on strengthening your ability and choice to coordinate your supports, and to assist you to live at home and participate in the community.

Includes:

  • Coordination of supports
  • Assistance with accommodation and tenancy obligations
  • Life transition planning including mentoring, peer support and individual skill development
  • Assistance with decision making, daily planning and budgeting

Daily Personal Activities

Assisting with, and/or supervising, personal tasks of daily life to develop your skills to live as autonomously as possible. These supports are provided individually and can be provided in a range of environments that best suits the participant.

Development of Daily Living and Life Skills

This skill building focuses on training and development activities undertaken by you or your  carer to increase your ability to live as autonomously as possible, including supports that will enhance your ability to travel and use public transport independently.
